Station 71 is a staffed fire station that provides fire and life safety protection for the Springbank area.

Daily activities are under the direction of Captains Jeff Fairless, Mike White & Craig McCallum.

Free Blood Pressure Clinic

Visit 71 Station from Monday – Friday, 12:00 noon – 5:00 pm for a free blood pressure check.

Burn Permits are Required By Law

Other than campfires and Municipal approved incinerators, any person lighting a fire for any purpose must have a valid fire permit. Fire permits are required for all open burning throughout the year.  Permits may be obtained from the Municipal office or the appointed Fire Guardians.

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR A BURNING PERMIT

Fireworks Permits are Required By Law

Any person selling, purchasing, possessing or discharging Fireworks in the MD must have a valid Fireworks permit. Fireworks permits may be obtained through the MD Emergency Services office at (403) 230-1401, Monday through Friday 8:00 am-4:30pm or download the Fireworks Permit and fax the completed form to the MD Emergency Services office at 230-7091.

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR A FIREWORKS PERMIT.
