Springbank Creative Arts ClubThe Springbank Creative Arts Club mission is “to encourage the development of arts and crafts within the Springbank schools and community.” Their primary vehicle for accomplishing this is the annual Show & Sale which will be held at Springbank Community High School November 2010. Members of the Club must reside in Springbank, attend club meetings, serve on one club committee and assist with the production of the annual Show & Sale. These members may choose to display and sell their artwork and crafts at the show along with non-member renters, all of whom apply and are reviewed by a jury of members. Springbank Yoga is a community service run by volunteers now in it's 10th year of service. We coordinate 90-minute morning, afternoon, and evening practice times at a convenient local venue lead by professional instructors. Instructor styles will vary but all focus on deep opening and strength poses with elements of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Restorative, Core and Teen yoga. Both gentle and intermediate levels are available, suitable for new and experienced participants respectively. Three seasonal sessions follow the Springbank school calendar utilizing personal email as the primary communications vehicle. Fees for each session are paid in full in advance of each session and are non-refundable. Drop-in Packs are available to anyone registered for at least one yoga class. Waivers are required. Winter Session begins Monday, January 16 for 11 weeks ending Friday, March 30. Free registration fee if confirmed before Friday, January 20, after that date $15 registration fee in addition to your class fees. New this session we will offer evening yoga 7:15-8:45 p.m. suitable for teens, men and women with yoga experience. New member inquiries are always welcome. Members are primarily but not exclusively Springbank women who share a commitment to both their birth country (USA) and their adopted country Canada. If you haven't heard of us, we are a non denominational group of women that meet at the Springbank Community Church (located across from Calaway Park) on Monday mornings from 9-11am. We offer a variety of programs (jewelry making, florals, scrapbooking, spa services, cooking, bridge and using Ebay to name a few). Childcare is also available for children minimum 1 year to school age for a nominal fee.
