Taradar Developments – the Heart of Springbank

  • The Boardwalk – a commercial centre anchored by a lake where walking and fishing are encouraged. Proposed stores include a mix of the necessities (a grocery store, banks, convenience stores, a gas station) and eclectic boutique shops (antique stores, art galleries, clothing).
  • Fine dining restaurants, quaint cafés and a dinner theatre peppered throughout, pleasing any tastes.

The vision for Taradar Developments was formulated through extensive studies, careful assessment and meticulous master planning. The team, led by local builder Taradar Developments, has taken stringent measures to ensure the development will meet the needs of Springbank without compromising the integrity of the land and natural surroundings.

Bingham Crossing

The Bingham Crossing conceptual scheme area is currently under consideration for development approvals by the Municipal District of Rocky View. This proposal covers 309 acres in land area and it has 3 components:

  • Retail/Lifestyle-approximately 2/3 of Bingham Crossing is intended for commercial development that will contain retail stores, services, restaurants, entertainment facilities, offices, hotel/lodging facilities, a visitor center and leisure opportunities. The first phase, in the southwest corner of this Concept Plan area, will contain 400,000 square feet on 80 acres with the ultimate development to contain 1,500,000 square feet.
  • Residential uses-the residential land uses are in the northerly 1/3 of Bingham Crossing which will contain a total of 450 housing units ranging from 1 acre lots, along the northern boundary of this project, to other types of housing, single family, villa, townhouse and condominium types units with the density of housing increasing as you move closer to the commercial core of this project.
  • Open Space Park Areas-a total of 58 acres or almost 19% of the total land area is being dedicated as open park space with 31 acres dedicated as the normal 10% municipal reserve/park space dedication and 27 acres dedicated as non credit open space for a green space buffer from Trans Canada Hwy. The objectives in selecting the location and design of all the open space areas was to ensure connectivity to all of the different type of uses, linking the open spaces and to provide opportunities for recreational activities such as walking, cycling and jogging.
